Properties Window

An additional window as described in Getting started will appear when clicking on the Lese logo in the top left corner, which controls additional settings for Impulse that aren’t immediately available on the normal interface. This section covers the various sections in this extra window.

About

The about tab just contains the version number and build date of the current Impulse install.

Authentication

The authentication tab contains information about your licence key, such as the licence key holder’s name and email, as well as when the licence is set to expire (if applicable). Additionally, there is also a toggle available to choose whether or not Impulse will periodically check to see if new updates are available.

Look And Feel

The look and feel tab has controls for adjusting Impulse’s visual styling. By default, Impulse will synchronise its theme with the theme of the operating system (turning dark mode on if the system dark mode is on), but this can be disabled, and a different constant theme can be applied. Additionally, you can design a custom theme to use with the given colour picker controls.

Audio

The audio tab is important for setting up your audio driver, if you want to use the preview system. The audio device type, output channels, and input channels must be specified, as well as the active input & output channels (in most cases there will only be one option to select for the active input and output channels). Additionally, the host sample rate and audio buffer size can be specified, but this is usually already set to match the audio driver.

Settings

The settings tab contains other miscellaneous settings for Impulse.

The interface section contains toggling for previewing 3D models in the file browser (not available on windows) and the visual interface scaling.

The viewport section allows you to switch which mouse button does movement actions for the camera. You can also toggle if the volume estimate displays, and if individual object labels are rendered in the viewport.
