Common
Standard Features
The small triangle on the bottom right of the interface can be dragged to rescale the interface, and the program will remember it’s previous size for next time (and will also remember regardless of your host; so any DAW you use will have the same size setting).
You can also adjust the scale to an exact percentage by clicking on the Lese logo on the title bar & going to “Set Scale”, which allows a few predefined scaling values.
The title bar menu also contains a toggle for enabling & disabling “Help Mode”, which when enabled (by default but can be disabled permanently), will display a small popup explaining the basic use of a component when you hover your mouse over it for a short amount of time.
There is another toggle available as well (when applicable) that toggles your plugin’s “Metering”. Disabling metering disables the use of audio spectrum drawing on things like filter controls & visualizations. Doing this is provided to make the plugin run a little bit faster when the interface is open (for slower computers).
The Dry / Wet mix control is always located on the bottom right of the interface.
Common Functionality
Versioning
By clicking the Lese logo on the title bar & going to “Plugin Info”, you will open up a dialog box that shows the plugin’s version number, exact build date, as well as your license key (if the plugin is activated). If the plugin is not activated then this option in the title bar menu will be replaced with “Unlock” which leads to an unlock dialog.
Unlocking
Lese plugins, when non-authenticated, will show an unlock dialog when the plugin interface is opened for the first time. Plugins unlock by providing a 16 or 32 character hexadecimal license key which is generated by us and found on either your My Account page or on the page of the reseller you purchased from, and by uploading this key to our servers by inputting it into the license key box & clicking “Unlock”. If you don’t have a key, you can click “Demo Mode” in this dialog which will close the dialog and enter Demo Mode;
Demo Mode
Demo Mode is a state that lese plugins enter when a license key is not found on the computer. Demo mode will periodically mute the processed sound, and when applicable will also prevent you from saving presets & doing other central features of the plugin.
Presets (if applicable)
Your plugin might feature a number of “factory presets”, which are embedded into the program itself for ease of transportability, meaning that they can’t be deleted or overwritten. You can reset the preset back to default by clicking on the Lese logo and selecting the “Initialize” option.
Selecting
You can select between them with the buttons on the top of the interface, and click the “down” button to enter a preset browsing interface, which can sort and filter the presets by author and whatever tags are applied.
The Dry / Wet Mix knob is not changed when the preset is changed, just so you don’t need to keep toying with it when scanning through for something you’d like.
Saving
Presets can be saved by clicking the “save” icon.
Don’t know what the save icon looks like? Ask your parents, kid.
You will get a popup menu inside the plugin to save your details about the preset, including the author name & the name of the preset itself.
